I managed to break the key in the passenger door a while back and now I can only lock or unlock it from the inside. I have tried to take it out with two pins and with a magnet, not a very strong one though but its still in there.
Are there any other methods or tricks to fix this? Apart from buying a new lock. Thanks for any help.

How far is the key stuck in? The right Tweezers might grab it. You could try drill the back of the key with a dremel and try jam the bit in it (although key will be hardned steel).

Probably easiest to Take out the barrel, usually a spring clip on the rear. Bring the barrel to a lock smith and he'll get it out.

Thanks for the reply and maybe I will find a tweezers small enough (its about 10mm in past the top of the barrel) I think I,ll need to have a key in the barrel to remove it. I could bring him the whole door though:)

No you should be able to remove the barrel by itself. The car company had to put it in.

Have you taken off the door card to have a look?

A very fine long noise pliers might grab it too, a tool shop or the likes of maplin might be worth a try....
