whats the story with this area in sylvan park?

there is an area behind houses, it looks like some kind of tennis court lol there is an ally between 2 houses and its down behind, there is also one in the centre of the ring of houses in the middle that kinda makes sence but the one behind the other houses just seems a bit pointless?? you can see it in this pic!…

might be an area for kids, could have been a stipulation in the planning permission.
