Black Ops map-packs, two lumps or three?

    So I have been doing some pondering about the new map pack First Strike. Like MW2, it is an xbox exclusive for a few months before it arrives for other platforms. The reason why there is a delay is due to a contract Microsoft have with Activision.

    The thing that I am wondering is when ether or not they will be able to release three map packs without stepping on the hype for the next installment of the franchise. MW2 only released two map packs due to the collapse of InfinityWard's management system, but would they have released a third pack pack if things had turned out differently? If they had, they may have only a small timeframe on the PS3 market before the BlackOps details trickled in.

    I am sure that Treyarch can release three if they wanted to, but do ye reckon they will?

    Also:
    MW2 has 25 Competitive Multiplayer maps after two pack packs
    Black Ops will have 22 after two packs
    Black Ops will have 26 after three packs.

    I think they will get away with 3. Apparently (I think I read somewhere) Blops is the most played game on the net right now. if they release their 2nd pack in may/june and the third in August/Sept there will be plenty of time to rehype the next installment.

    Yeah I would say it would be like this. World at Wars third map pack was released around August 2009. Only a couple of months before MW2.

    Yes, but that was before the delay for the PS3 agreement was around. If BOps has a map pack in August 2011, when will the others get it?

    If you go to community in game, and go thro the map names! future map packs show up..(map names) Hotel, Cargo etc!!
