Noticed in the last week or 2 me daysul is noisier than usual when I start it from cold...sounds like a right ol bag of spanners for the first 2-3 minutes until I get it on the m'way.

Anyone else noticed this aswell? Usually its a lot quieter. Is it just the cold weather that causes this?

What car is it? Is it (over) due an oil change?

    Whats the Car/Year??

I know with my yoke im driving when i start it up i have to wait about 5 seconds for it to idle, as it idles very rough when it starts from cold. Just the way of them. Think age and miles have alot to do with it too, 17 years old and nearly 400K.

most diesel engines inject more fuel on cold starts and this produces a diesel knock when the run for a few minutes they usually quieten down

no its the legacy...just had its 30,000km service about 2 months ago so not overdue an oil change.

The verso is a work horse, never fails to start and runs like clockwork every time
