+13 points head start against Ireland at weekend.

With all Irish injuries is this good bet, do ye think?

I dont know, the spread looks about right. Ireland may struggle at the start but pull away at the end. It is the first game and Italy will be up for it at home. They could have a better scrum than us so I would avoid it tbh.

France - 13 pts should beat Scotland especially since they are playing at home and looks a better bet to me.

I think Ireland will cover the handicap. Our scrum should be a lot better this time round and i can't see Italy dominating them like they usually do. Our back 3 look very exciting and could do serious damage if they get enough of the ball.
France have a strong pack named but their outside back make up is very strange, with the players they have their i can't see them running riot against the Scots. The Scots defense will hold them out for long periods and i can see France just sneeking over the line.
England are at scratch with PP which i find strange. I think England could win this by 10 points plus. Wales are going to get destroyed in the scrum with Jenkins and Jones missing. Shanklin and 1/2 penny will be big losses in the backs i don't think they have the flair this year to get them out of trouble. England at SCR will be my big bet the weekend.

Glitch in the PP website it should be -3 still a great bet.

I still think it's a good bet even at -13, England at -3 though I think is a safer bet in comparison but I'll be putting 20 on both.

Initial thoughts sway towards England and France to beat the handicaps. Although Scotland will very tough. Not sure how the Irish game is going to go but I'll give it some more thought.

i'm struggling to find any value in the h'caps for the opening 3 matches.
instead i'm taking the overs (42.5) in the Wales v England clash.
super high tempo, loads of leaks.

I'm on England even with their shocking away record and their previous in Cardiff. I just think that the injuries to Wales will be just too much for the home side, especially in the scrum. Out wide they have the potential to cause some damage as well. Won't be an easy game though as Wales can always pull something out of the bag but if Engalnd have any designs on doing something in this competition, tonight is massive for them.

what ball with the Italians be using?

they use to use a different make to the other teams.

    Is this still the case?
