Anyone with adhd?

Hey guys, i suspect i may have adhd and would like to be assessed by a pro. Anyone here have adhd? If so could you recommend anywhere i could go for an assessment? I am a broke ass student so can't really afford to go and ask a GP. I'm also going to ring around tomorrow. Cheers for any advice!

Yeah maaan, down with the corporations!!... If i am diagnosed with it im not looking to be medicated. I'll figure something else out. Meanwhile, some helpful advice is more what i'm looking for.

Get to your GP mate. They will have to refer you on for the diagnosis, but at least you will have started the process.

I was diagnosed with AD/HD when I was 19, after being suspected of suffering from mania (by a completely unqualified arsehole), so I went to my college GP and he referred me to the college psychiatrist. It's well worth it, mate.

I started a course of Ritalin literally less than 8 hours ago, so if this thread is still active in a few weeks I'll let you know if it works.

Let me know if you have any questions, and ignore any fúcking idiots who try to tell you it's a "fake" disease that was invented by pharmaceutical companies, an excuse for lack of intelligence, or a lack of God/Thetans in your life.

Don't worry about it happening here to much mate. We don't allow trolling like that to happen here. As you could see the person was warned as sonn as I seen the post.

......shhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's a disorder .... I don't like to think of myself as diseased.. You sir ... Know nothing about my pet chemical imbalance of the brain, I personally think it makes me more fun even while on my meds.. My friends and I like to drink coke and get giddy in our spare time because people with ADHD are soooo amazing that they don't even need drugs to feel mazeballs sure ADHD has it's downsides but that's what the meds are for .. While I am enjoying myself you may continue to claim I'm invisible
