    Hey folks,

Just wondering if there is any site online where I can print off OS quality maps for my cross country treks? I don't want to have to splash out on the paper maps every time. I've tried google earth but the quality isn't great.

    All answers welcome.
    Thanks,
    HB

I had a look at that, but I gather you must pay for an OS quality print out? There is a free zoom in map, but the quality is rather poor I find.

Geolives.com is a pay site but you can download os quality(ish) maps reasonably cheaply. Cost €15 for a years membership and then €1 for each 10k by 10k maptile.
    Works with a gps too.

And mapyx is similar to geolives.

Openstreetmap and the SRTM data is probably the best quality "free" map.

www.irishtrails.ie has maps etc on a lot of waymarked routes around the country including Burren way, Kerry Way, Dingle Way
    Section maps are 1:50,000 scale
www.coillteoutdoors.ie is also a good site for info on trails in forest areas.
