Hi,i have a android phone (htc wilfire ) with 2.2 installed. is it possible to root this version of android as i want to installed droid vnc server, i was reading that you need to have the phone rooted to install droid vnc server?

Yeah course ya can root it. I have the desire HD and used Visionary to root it. Simple to do, temproot it then "attempt permanent root" and roberts your mothers brother.
