generally dogs on nuts will get fatter than ones on meat including tripe so you won't have a problem that way. it's the best you can give her

When I had Greyhounds and Lurchers I always tried to get them tripe, really good for them for fattening them up and building muscles. I'd feed them it as much as possible, you can either boil it or I used to feed them it uncooked cut into strips, just make sure to really wash it in hot water before feeding. It will put on weight but if the dog is walked or let run in the fields then the weight won't stay on oppose to not having exercise:confused: if you get what I mean??? LOL

Tripe is great for feeding large dogs with big appetites. I had a big male German Pointer who would nearly finish a large bag of nuts in one go if he got them. You won't beat the tripe or any find of meat for a dog like these that are hard to put condition on. I used to give it to him mostly over the hunting months and it always kept good condition and a shine on him. I never cooked it - just washed it
