integrating ipad into home?

Hi,

This might be a bit of an odd request but I'm thinking about integrating an ipad into my home somehow. Would anyone have any inspiration for me? Ideally an article or some such about the types of ways people have done this.

thats class,id love an ipad in the kitchen press door.
infact id just love a ****ing ipad!

id also love to have one control lights,electric fire,tv,soundsystem etc,this is all possible on the ipad i presume?

I use my macbook pro from 2 years ago as a doorstop sometimes. Works much better than it did at being a computer.

Mine sits on the couch or coffee table and I use it to control the media center, itunes and video-on-demand streaming. IPad on the couch is about as integrated as it's going to get because if it was anywhere else I wouldn't be bothered to get up and use it!

Closest I've got to is using xbmc on my ipad to control the main xbmc unit linked to the tv
