Is it possible to prevent Windows Media Player from automatically adding sound files on my pc to it's library?
I'm using WMP 11 and Windows XP Home SP3

Under the Tools menu, click on Options (press ALT if you can't see any menus).

Under the Player tab, there should be a checkbox for "Add music files to Media Library when played". Uncheck that, and you should be set. :)
