    Hi

Just wondering does anyone know the constituents for my area for Labour?

I live on Terenure Road East in Rathgar. I don't know if that is classed as Dublin South Central or Dublin South.

    Thanks.

Looks like your Dublin South Central and the Labour candidates are Eric Byrne, Michael Conaghan and Henry Upton.

Fair play to ya if you're thinking of voting Labour :D

I know this might be a stupid question to some people but I haven't properly (only 23) voted in a General Election yet..

Can you only vote for the constituents in your area? I had a look at the profile of the ones above, and none of them appeal to me. What is the voting structure? Do you give a number 1, 2 and 3 or what's the story with it?

    Thanks :)

My God, you didn't pay attention in CPSE classes in school! You can only vote for candidates in the constituency you are registered in. You vote no. 1 for the candidate you like best and continue 2,3,4 etc. for all candidates you have a preference for. You could, but don't have to vote for all candidates on the ballot paper. If you only like one candidate, only vote no. 1. Its the same voting system as in Presedential, local and European elections, but you probably haven't voted in those either.
