Really stupid question but it's late and I am actually very stupid sometimes.

Pic below is a Toyota Corolla E11 1998
    A. (off to left of A) is steering fluid.
    B. is brake fluid
    C. what fluid reservoir is this? Is it clutch fluid? If so, it probably should not be dark brown in colour eh?

clutch fluid and brake fluid, in this application anyway im fairly sure are the same fluid (not shared between the two applications, but its the same dot 3/4 fluid used in both), so brown wouldnt be too unusual.

edit : i must ad, you cant go far wrong with a 4e-fe :D

Thanks andy, do you happen to know where the bleed valve for this clutch fluid is?

Its probably on the slave cylinder, just follow the pipe down to the gearbox.

If I recall correctly it usually says what fluid on the lid.
Dot 4 or similar. Same as brake fluid.
