I would like to get a Silencer that has a built in Tracer unit - so here are my questions.

    Firstly - do they work?

Secondly - which unit is the best?

And thirdly - What BB's do you need to get for them to work?

    Cheers in advance

    Oddy

Apparently they do work with the more expensive units producing more consistent results

Tokyo Marui seems to get good reviews but it's expensive!

    Firstly - Yes

Secondly - TM but the JG or Double Eagle ones work perfectly too, I think Madbull do a silencer tracer too.

And thirdly - Tracer bbs of course! :) When I had one (the double eagle) I used Madbull tracers in it. Worked flawlessly but the barrel did need to be cleaned more often than when using none tracers.

All in all a great fun bit of kit if you get the chance to play in dark(ish) conditions.

the cheap acm version works fine ( i have one ) just invest in good tracer bbs, as was said above the madbull tracers are very nice

If you dont like the silencer versions you can fit a Madbull Ultimate 3-in-1 Hop Up Chamber Unit with LED Module or alternatively G+P do midcaps that have an led inside-have'nt used(yet;)) either so cant vouch for their effectiveness personally.

If you want to go the way of illuminated mags then there is a box set for a good price here: http://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/p2504/G&P-130rd-Illuminated-Magazine-for-M4/M16-Series-(Black,-10pcs)/product_info.html

Hey Puding any chance of a link to your ACM tracer?

Oh and I've heard those tracer mags are pure rubbish.

Never used them myself, but they seemed like a good deal, can see why now.....

that sounds quite expensive tbh compared to a decent tracer unit.

I have the madbull one and its getting its first field test tonight , it does have one small design flaw, the led is fed off the main gun battery and is on all the time, firing or not. The guys in qas hdve rewired it to run off a separate battery.

Otherwise it drains battery at twice the normal rate. It's also designed for an m4 receiver and of you Google it you'll find lots of posts of it not fitting into some models. Mines in a Pdw. Which is much smaller. So I'd say its a little project piece. It must be said, it looks brilliant when its on with a blue glow in the end of barrel face on, in the Magwell with no mag in, and from the bolt when its open.
