    Fabric dye may work,

but it depends on what you want to dye, you may have to stick it in the washing machine if you use fabric dye.

Or if it's something like a tac vest a bit of aul OD / brown / tan spray paint works nice

    You could try Blanco :D

Years ago..... webbing was cleaned, maintained and had its
colour changed via blanco! you can still get it from some surplus stores but nowadays people tend to make it themselves (or make something similar)

To be honest, I saw this an though WTF  I though Blanco was white - blanc meaning white.

While I'm not sure this method would work on more modern kit made from cordura, I read the info on it and if nothing else I have expanded my knowledge on the subject.

    Cheers B :)

This was the second of the two options I concidered. But I wasn't sure how the finish would look. Also, it is a very 'Real-World' method of changing the colour of issue equipment and I like the idea of that.

Lads, any chance you'd throw up a couple of pic of the gear you sprayed?

My first choice, but not knowing how to dye or what colour my gear will turn has sort of put this on hold.

So test it? Pick up a cordura pouch for a few bucks and try dying it. If you're happy with that, go for it. If not, proceed to option b.

Cordura is basically just a nylon fibre variant. A dye for synthetics should, therefore, work fine. Get some decent synthetic cloth dye at a drapers or other fabric store, a sacrificial cordura pouch and try it.
Worst case scenario, you lose 15 bucks on some dye and a (now) oddly coloured pouch. Best case, it works perfectly and you just repeat the process with your kit.

Gerry, AFAIK chris dyed some of his camo before with green dye and he done it using his washing machine, came out very good :) Maybe give him a txt/pm and ask him how he done it ?
