    Hey everyone,

Well as some of you know I damaged the steering rack in my 1988 Suzuki Swift MK1 over the cold snap with ice on the raod and took a bit of a tip. No body damage was very luckly but damaged the rack.

So took awhile to find the part and got some very good help from some well informed guys on the classic car group here. Must collect the car from the neighbour as he put it in.

Will post pics next weekend after a good wash and wax. So thanks everyone who helped me out to find the part and thanks to all your help me and swift will now be back on the raod very very soon!

    Will.

    **Pics to come soon**

YEP! Took a while for Paddy to find a MK1 swift but once he did, he ripped the rack and it was collected. It was touch and go because if Paddy didn't have it I honestly dont know where I would have got it. Thanks Max_Damage for his number.

Have you used his place for parts?

Yeah, in fact I got a set of rear seatbelts for my Micra there yesterday. Paddy's a sound chap, getting some Escort wheels from him in a week or so time.

A friend was heading to Mondello Park so he picked it up off him two days ago. In fairness Paddy drove to Kildare town as my friend was driving with a transporter behind him and Paddy meet him in town. Very nice guy.

What kind of wheels are you getting for the escort?

    Just standard steel wheels.

How did you come across Paddy?

Do you have many classics yourself?.....

I came across him on his Flickr page.

And this is the Swift your rack came from.

I've two 'classics' if you want to call them that, the Escort Mk3 and Micra K10 (see my signature).
