i've been playing fifa 11 online a fair bit these days.
there are so many people on there quiting games when they are losing.

it's happened 10 -15 times in the last few days where the games will end at 89 mins and i don't get any points for it !! extremely frustrating.

    anyone else seeing the same?

it has happened on over 50% of the games i have played today

i'm starting to think it could be my connection , but it does not happen when playing other games online.

Dunno if this is the case but if all these games are quitting out whilst *you're* winning then you can be sure it's not your connection. Instead it's all the little sore loser punks out there who can't take a beating. Luckily you encounter most of them at the low level whilst just starting out and as your score gets higher and higher and you're paired with better quality opponents you'll run into this less.

Also you should be getting points+win if it was the opponent who quit (or at least I usually do). I think the sore loser punks are under the misconception that if they quit out on 90mins they won't lose games/points, but it appears to me that they do. Check your stats on the EA site to follow your progress more clearly.

but i can't get to a higher level because i am not getting any points for my games s i'm not winning. i've been on leve 2 for days. i've only just started playing online.

it's just happened 5 times in a row there.
i thought i finally had a 'clean' game just now , but the pr**k just quit when i went ahead on the 116th minute after being 2 down.

the worst thing is you can't contact them after the game as you cannot see the gamertag once they've quit.

where can i track my points on fifa ?

    cheers

Is there not some "gentlemen's agreement" that can be made before the game begins?

You can check here : www.easports.com

You should be able to check all sorts of stuff like your last 10 results, who you played etc etc as well as your goal average, corner kick average even.

thanks i'll give that a look

when you review the player and give negative feedback for quiting early , does that mean you never get paired with them again ?

i'm so bloody angry because i'd have won my last 5-6 games giving me decent points and progress

if the other person quits out after the 5 minute mark, you do receive the ranking points for the win. it will either record as a 3-0 win or if you were winning by more, the score you were winning at. check your player hub in My fifa online to check your stats.

Also if you want to check the gamertag of the last person you played bring up your mini dashboard and go to friends and click over to the right a couple of times and it shows you the last players you met online.

Reset your Xbox's date to 15/11/2005...

Yes, it sounds f*cking mental, but it works. I had the same problem for 9 days, while I could see loads of people on my friends list playing FIFA online without a problem. I reset my date, and then loaded up FIFA, straight onto the EA servers with no problems.

    See steps below:

Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller to enter the Dashboard.
·Sign out of Xbox Live by pressing the X button.
    ·Select the System blade.
·Select Console Settings and press the A button.
·Select Clock and press the A button.
·Change the date to 11/15/2005 and press the A button to accept.

Cant see why a date change would solve a server problem on EA's behave, having the same crap myself...
