It does, it's from before AMG were incorporated into MB. It's a bored-out straight six, giving (from memory) around 280bhp.

Crap ad for an AMG car.

wouldn't believe badges tho there easily bought and stuck on. lots of "reps" floating about.

I think it's real, there were both C36 and E36 cars. It looks genuine (albeit a UK import), and cartell has it down as an E36.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

So the badge is genuine then, unlike some other AMG badges on some other cars, isn't that right volvoboy? ;)

Interesting car, could be worth a look if you were willing to put a bit of work into it, assuming it needs it for the NCT

he W124 E36 Coupe was imported into the UK between 1993 and 1997 in very small numbers. It had the best performance figures for the right hand drive W124 E class and was equivalent to the E420 (only available in LHD like the E500). Official imports: Coupe = 24, Cabriolet = 14, Estate = 7 and the Saloon = 12. All reached 155mph except the Estate (149mph). The Coupe reached 0-62 in 7secs, the cabriolet/Estate 7.2secs. Further stats for the Coupe:
Engine 3,604cc straight-six, Power 268bhp@5,750rpm, Torque 284lb/ft@3,750rpm, Transmission 4-speed auto, Weight 1.540kg. Source Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine.

    Tbh I'd never heard of a W210 E36 myself :)

Must be very rare - the car is a bargain if it's half decent. I think I'd prefer one of the V8 ones though :D

A photo of the engine bay is all we need..

If it is an AMG it is (almost) bangernomics material...

Me too, i've always had a hankering for a good C43 (without the two-tone interior).
