App idea - how to proceed?

    Not sure if this is the correct place to post this.

    I have come up with an idea for a phone app and was looking for advice on how to efficiently and effectively bring it to market.

    The thing is I have practically no business experience and haven't a clue where to start.

    A mate of a mate said that he would develop the SW for the app which I intend to meet next week.

    Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
