Hi, I am sharing a house and we have UPC broadband. Is there a way of viewing what your usage is? We don't want to go over our limit, but it's hard to know what we have used already without some system in place to record it?

    Hope someone can help,

    Thanks

You have to ring UPC to find out, there is no readily available tracker.

That's insane, what kind of service is that? Is there a particular number you ring?

It is absurd that any company can "tell" customers what they are using and charge accordingly without any way for the customer to monitor their usage.

Imagine if gas and electricity were charged for like that?

I imagine you could ring UPC on 1908, the number for their customers. It is completely free, but at times you could be waiting on hold for a while.

I was just thinking that...it's outrageous.

Did somebody paid UPC for data above dedicated limit ( above fair usage ) ;) ?

they stopped calling it "fair" usage quite a while ago, it's "acceptable" usage now.

no doubt someone in their legal department decided it would leave them open to litigation. :)

you don't get charged for going over, you get moved to a higher package (at a higher charge). :pac:

yes, it's still BS, but it's what we're stuck with for now until someone fights itand wins (or not, as the case may be).
