As some of you may know, a few months ago Meteor changed the data rates, which gave people a loophole to get out of their contracts, which I was most certainly happy to do and did quite quickly. I have just discovered that I have received a letter from them saying that my previous balance was €58.81 CR, my overdue amount was €58.81 CR and the Total Amount Due was €58.81 CR.

The CR confuses me somewhat.. does this stand for credit and, if so, is it a case that they owe me the €58.81? I cancelled the direct debit with them, so they may not have been able to send it to me if this were the case.

it's credit i.e. money they owe you. call the credit control/customer care and they'll transfer it to your bank account

They will transfer it to your account if asked.
