got my l96 back yesterday and went for a few targets today and cant get it to shoot right at all,i got a tighter barrel and new hop up rubber fitted.i was trying to zero the scop in at 40' at was kinda getting somewhere, was making bits of cds after maybe 50 shots fires,i then jumped up to around 75 feet with a shoebox with an a4 page on it,i hit it twice out of around 100 shots, very minimal cross wind(trees around the garden) and its was shooting way left no matter how much i compensated with the scope i couldn't get it right. dow long does a hop up rubber take to run in ,im kind of thinkin its this but iv maybe put 160 shots down it at this stage. if i cant find out what it is tonight im gonna get majic to look at it again for me

thanks for the help in advance guys:D

Sounds more like either the hop rubber or the barrel, possibly both, were installed slightly out of alignment. I've seen it on a few rifles - including one of my own when I purchased it - and in most of the cases it was a case of misalignment.
The hop rubber itself not being broken in wouldn't account for consistently wide left or right shots. The bb is having biased hop applied to it, which puts both backspin and sidespin onto the round, causing it to arc to either side. If you had it done at a store, I'd suggest taking it back and having it re-installed correctly. If you're familiar with the internals, it's something you could easily do yourself too.

NakedDex is probably 90% right in what he says, i had this problem with my old Pro Tac L96, the hop up wasn't installed correctly, if you have silicon spray and know what your doing, take it out and be GENTLE when your putting it back in place so it doesn't move, and make sure no bits of rubber from the bucking get pinched that will send your BB spinnin like crazy
