Attempted to insure a fiat punto with no nonsense and was refused on the basis that the car had been stolen. Now I'd just bought the car from a garage and was told it had one previous owner who had no problems with it. Rang the garage asked for an explanation apparently he'd left it in a long term car park at the airport and the radio, not the whole car just the radio, was stolen from it. He made a claim and the the radio was replaced etc etc. Informed no nonsense of this and they didn't budge; in their eyes the car is stolen. So what do ye think are they in the right?

tbh sounds dodgy re the car. if nononense have it on their system as stolen, then it must have been at some point.

perhaps do a car check or that on it online.

Strange that the garage owner knew that the car had had the radio nicked, where it was at the time and that it had gone through insurance.

Unless the garage did the work or course.

    Not Your Ornery Onager

Get in touch withe previous owner's insurance company and ask them to check the details they recorded when the claim was made, and have them amended if they are wrong.
