Secondary School Observations for PGCE in ICT

I recently applied for a PGCE in ICT, I received confirmation that my interview is pending as I am required to complete observations in a UK school.
-I am wondering if anyone could recommend any schools in the UK (preferably London) that may allow me to do this or how previous students secured schools to allow them to conduct observations?

    - I am also required to complete a report on observations carried out. Would anyone have any advice on how to structure a report like this? They haven't specified exactly what they would like me to include in my report, I imagine I would refer to the classroom structure, the teacher's lesson plans, how the teacher managed students etc.?

    - Finally if anyone has completed the PGCE in ICT, I would very much like to hear their thoughts on the course?

    Thanks a mil,

    Hi Rainbow brite,

I am doing the same as you, I've applied to complete a PGCE in ICT. It has turned into a very long winded process and I only got accepted by Bath Uni for an interview last week, still waiting on a date.

How did you get on with your interview and the whole process in general? Any info would be appreciated!!

    Regards,
    John

    Hi John

Unfortunately I withdrew my application since posting. The university registrars and course leader of my first choice uni were extremely unhelpful in dealing with my queries which led me to not getting an interview with them. Also during that time it was announced that the UK Government were withdrawing the bursary for PGCE (ICT) students this coming September so I decided to withdraw my application completely as it would work out too costly for me. Sorry I couldn't be of help with your interview. Best of luck with it and hope it works out.
