    Hi.

The screen on my iphone 4 is broken. It fell off.

Does the warranty cover it ? What are my other options ? Is it costly ?

    Thanks in advance
    Cheers.

First time I've heard of one falling off. I'd say you will have a hard sell to Apple as a repair under warranty. You could of course ring them and see what they say. I think they charge €211 for a repair on broken screens.

Oops. Sorry. the screen is broken. I meant to say the iphone fell off my pocket on the ground on a rock (going up Ticknock forest), So the screen is damaged but I can still use it. €211 is a lot. Will see with Vodafone what they say.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

What you may consider is opening your iphone up and replacing it yourself. It cost about half the price that is being said already. you can pick up the tools on ebay. also if the lcd screen is working then you only have to replace the digitizer. the only trouble with this is you have to take the whole phone apart to access it.

ps If you could upload a picture that would be great!

Thanks for the info. The screen is broken but it's still working. Vodafone doesn't cover it indeed and seen it's gonna cost me a little fortune, I might wait until the next upgrade.

    Hi,
Thats terrible, I dropped mine and the back smashed, I was so sick I only had it a couple of weeks. I got it replaced in Fonemenders in Sandyford Industrial Est, it cost €80 and they did it in 15 mins. 01 2932590
not sure about the front screen but its worth giving them a call.

    Best of luck.
