    thinking of buying this from pc world as im looking for a new laptop.
    can anyone give me any info or review link or something for these.
    6gb ram
    2.5-8 gHz
    17.3 inch screen

    anyone had any experience with this or vaio laptops in general.
    can get it for €849 is this a decent deal?

    the general opinion on the vaio series is they are generally well built, well specced in some areas but overpriced in alot of models.

    Questions really are what are you going to be using this for?

    6gb ram is overkill outside heavy CS pakages, GIS software, Heavy editing etc.
    The 5470 is tbh a very poor dedicated card, overkill for 1080p playback but terrible for gaming.
    17inch is certainly not portable!
