Child Friendly Venues South Dublin/Wicklow

    Hi,

I'm trying to organise a family event soon and there are quite a few children attending so I would like some where safe where the adults can have a meal and the children could run around.

I've been to similar events in Finnstown house and Rathsallagh where the meal was served in the restuarnt but then there was a private sitting room afterwards.

Can anybody recommend such a place in South Country Dublin or North Wicklow direction?

    Thanks,

    Avoca restaurant (Kilmacanough, nr Bray)

Lovely food and two eating areas (one you have to book for). There is a huge lovely garden with fab trees for climbing and a stream etc for the kids. They would need to be supervised though, but if the weather is good then they have loads of room to run around in. You cannot go wrong with the food though, really tasty, and the setting. Every time we have visitors we take them there and often go for afternoon tea and let the kids have a run.

    Thanks GreyStoner for that info.

In case anybody else is looking for venues, besides the Avoca Cafe there's also Beaufield Mews (http://www.beaufieldmews.com/) and Summer Hill House (opp. Powerscourt) (http://www.summerhillhousehotel.com/)

After an afternoon of lots of children running around like lunatics I think I need a holiday - at a child free venue :)
