Where to get engagement ring enhanced?

My girlfriends mother mentioned to me that she has been keeping her old engagement ring for her daughter. Would like to propose between now and summer but here's the question!

Does anyone know where I should go to get diamonds added to a ring and how much it would cost me. I would like to add two diamonds and get it polished, resized and engraved so it looks sparkling?

I'm in the Louth area if that helps, not sure if all jewellers do this sort of work.

    Thanks a mill

    I'd recommend voltaire diamonds

Sorry, the guy who owns it Seamus, is based in Stephens Green in Dublin. He does not have a shop so its more of an office. You can go in and have a chat with him about what you are looking for etc

He repaired my engagement ring and I got my wedding bands there, excellent service and much better value that anywhere I tried. There was no pressure to go with his service once I visited which I liked, rather than sometimes when you go into a shop and you feel like you are nearly forced to make a decision there and then,

Give him a call and see what you think http://www.voltairediamonds.ie/en_US/contact-us

Any 'high-street'-ish jeweller will be using what's known as a 'bench' jeweller to do the modifications. So you could potentially cut out the middleman (and charge) by heading directly to jewellery manufacturers like them, for ex. Da Capo, Barry Doyle or Michael Perry), all in Dublin. Good luck :)
