    Hi,
we have a 3.5 year old and a 10 month old. The 3.5 ends up walking now but gets tired.
I'm wondering what's the best solution- side by side or front and rear (seats)

I presume side by side as none is stuck at the back with no view?
Anyone use either and which would you recommend?

I'd be looking at buying a cheap or 2nd one as we already have a good single buggy.
    Cheers,
    Pa.

Would you consider something like this to attach onto your current single buggy?

We have a P&T Dash for our 2.5 and 9 month old and, tbh, I hate it. Sometimes have to use it, and #2 is always miserable looking underneath.

However, since #1 is walking (running) we rarely have to put #2 underneath, as he can go in the front most of the time.

Much as I dislike the thing though, I'd still pick it over a side-by-side one just for getting it in and about in shops.

Thanks, I've considered that but it's €60 and I could get a 2nd hand twin buggy for that price.
And (even though I haven't tried it) I prefer the idea of the 2nd one being able to sit down when she's tired instead of standing.

    It depends..
There is no way my 2 year old will sit in the back seat of Phil and Teds, she hates them.
Side by sides can be wide though, maybe one of the mclaren side by sides or the graco tandems?

hi we had the same problem, our now 2yr old never wanted to be in the buggy once he started walking @ 13mths, however when his baby brother came along 4 mths ago, he point blank refused to give up his buggy:rolleyes:

It was a nightmare with him, he wouldnt walk he would cry, we couldnt go anywhere, so we (I) gave in and after reviewing several buggies, I went for the love'n'care one from Smyths toys, its great it costs €299 but it is well worth the money, it comes with a muff, a extra toddler seat, a rain cover and even a pump for the wheels, we love it, we can use it as a single buggy or doube up when the 2yrold gets tired.....well woth the money, i couldnt fork out €500++++ on a phil & teds.....

Its great for walks on dodgy roads.....we live in the sticks!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully I will be able to sell it on when the wee man grows out of it!

Just FYI, we have a buggy board for our Bugaboo (got from a friend who changed buggy), and while sometime #1 loves it, forget about it being a substitute for a second seat.

Only a seat with straps (and a handful of grapes in our case) will suffice for a 'walker' who has walked too much. If you can't strap a kid onto it and they don't want to get on/in - you're onto a loser!

Hey you should check out the Graco Duo Stadium and the Jane Power Twin. The seats line up in front of each other but they look as if both kiddies should have a good view. http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_96991_10001 (Graco)
    http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/searchresults_0_Price%7C1_primary_10751_set_-1__10001?Ntt=jane+power+twin (Jane)

Also came across a Zoom buggy on the net but don't think there are any stockists in Ireland and it's very expensive, long and quite heavy apparently. Looks the biz tho! http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/searchresults_0_Price%7C1_primary_10751_set_-1__10001?Ntt=zoom+buggy

Finally, you know you can buy a seat to attach to your buggy like a buggy board? The main disadvantage I see with these is that it doesn't look like it would be possible to recline the main seat while it was attached. They're by revelo and you can get them online at kiddicare - http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/categorydisplay10A_63_10751_14604_-1__14051_14051_10001_14051

I have none of these products by the way! Am expecting no 2 and no 1 is only 19m so have been investigating myself! :D That kiddicare site has reviews as well so you should be able to research to your heart's content!
