    Good afternoon lads
    I'm looking for a cheap lightweight 12v battery . I think i remember reading
something on here about motorbike batteries . Is this the way to go?

Hi remmie I use a sealed electronic golf trolly battery, think it cost me 50 or 60€ got it in a garage that specialises in car alarms and wiring! Its heavy enough but with a good back-pack its not too bad! Lasts for ages. Looks something like this

I use 12v alarm batteries, I acquired them at work;) there for the alarms if the electric goes out. Currently I'm 3.5million power and it last more than an hour or so, I have got 8 of them so I have plenty of fun without worrying about them dying on me. I'm not sure where you would get them but try alarm shops or car shops for them

I agree with Spunk84, the alarm battery is perfect for the job.
If you know somebody working in a large factory or hospital for instance they should be able to pick one up as the factories have to get rid of them after a certain period of time to comply with Health &safety but the battery will be perfect.
Failing that a motor factors is your next stop.:)
