Hey!

hope somebody can help me....i'm looking for a distributor for a 91 mazda 323 1.3, have rang most breakers yards in dublin, meath, and kildare, any help would be greatly recieved. even if u know if the old distributor can be reconditioned, not sure if thats possible. thanks

Do you know what's up with the disty? From memory you can buy a spring and weight kit for these... (let me dig out part number).... these weights control timing.

Sometimes the weights will detach internally (due to fatigue on the springs) and eat their way out, from the inside out.. if so the disty is rubbish.


EDIT: Have a look at this page... (this is for a 1.6 B6T engine, not your 1.3... but you might get the idea).. is the disty similar to this??

the following picture you can see the springs and weights out of the disty... are they similar to yours?
