    The kilogram is the only standard measurement unit with no natural definition. The metre used to be a similar object against which all "metres" were measured.

    Will be interesting to see what new standard they come up with.

    Where did the mass go? Was it radioactive metal! Or does it just weigh differently...a change in the earths gravitational field due to changes in the earths core. Maybe (g) 9.8 m/s/s has changed!
