Went For A Wander After Work

I am on earlies all this week in work which means a 5am start each morning and which also means that by finishing time you're knackered and just want to get home, but this evening was different.
As I was driving home on an old by road I came across a nice bunny sitting at the side of the road just watching me drive by with not a care in the world on him. As proud as punch he was looking around himself.
So I says to myself, "right bucko, tis time to give the old .22 a bit if fresh air".
When I got home, I changed my clothes, put on my woolie hat, slipped on the wellies, got the Anschutz and away over the fence I went into my neighbors land which handily seconds as one of my permissions.
There was a fair cold wind coming in from the east, t'would cut ya if you werent wrapped up well.
The bunnys were scarce on the ground for the first few fields and when I did lift the rifle to take a shot, my eyes kept watering and I couldnt see the bunny in my crosshairs so I couldnt take the shot and of course the bunny hopped away oblivious to how lucky he was.
I came upto the next ditch and as the light was starting to fade it was taking a little more time to spot the bunnys and I couldnt see any, but just as I was about to get over the ditch, here was a bunny no more then 10 yards away from me and all I saw was his white tail bobbing up and down as he ran into the ditch.
Straight away I saw another bunny about 75yrds away, I lifted the rifle and took the shot and the round landed just in front of him and he bolted, but before I brought the rifle back down from my shoulder, the first bunny that just hopped into the ditch a minute ago hopped straight out again to have a look at what the racket was - out she jumped in front of me, no more the 10 yrds away from me. I didnt take ther rifle from my shoulder, I just turned around like a robot with the rifle still pointing out, uo to my eye went the scope, the trigger was pulled and VVVuummmpp - Twas lights out for nosey bunny !!! She was a big fecker, as you can see in the pics below.
The rifle is an Anschutz .22LR, twas my fathers before mine and its at least 30 years old. Its a great rifle and the old Tasco scope is on it since my father bought it - It doesnt owe us anything !!!!!
Sorry about the quality of the photos but I only had my phone with me...
