Can I upload photos from an iTouch without MobileMe

I have an iTouch 4G running iOS 4.2.1. I recently took a few photos that I need to upload to my PC. However while iTunes is happy to download from named folders on the laptop to the iPhone, getting photos to upload is a different matter altogether.

According to the Apple support site I need to register for MobileMe and I can then upload to the MM gallery. However it looks like MM is free for 60 days and then you have to pay a subscription, plus it won't accept my Apple ID to login, my Apple ID is of the form 'smithj' i.e. with no e-mail qualifier which MM won't accept so it looks like I have to register as a new user with MobileMe where it doesn't ask for my Apple ID so I would be registering as a new user with Apple which I do not want to do.

Can anyone suggest an easy way to upload photos from an iTouch4 to a PC short of attaching each photo to an e-mail and sending them to myself?

When you plug it into windows do you not the get a dialogue box appearing similar to when you plug in a digital camera? Thats the way it works on an iphone, I assumed the iPod touch would be the same. Try plug it in and go to my computer and see if its listed as a camera. You can get into the DCIM folder which contains images.

Also in the photo gallery can you not choose 'share' and then select multiple pictures to email rather than one by one?

It probably did that when I first connected it which was a few weeks ago.

Excellent, can see them in the DCIM folder, should have thought of that myself - Doh! Many Thanks.
