Justine Henin Retires....Again

Former World Number 1 Justine Henin has announced her retirement from the game for the second time. The reason behind this decision is her elbow injury which occurred last year during her fourth round match against Clijsters at Wimbledon.
According to Henin, her doctors agreed that the damage to her elbow is too severe for her to continue at the top of her game.

More information available from her website: www.justine-henin.be

Really disappointing news. She's a great player and was a breath of fresh air in a game dominated by the power plays of the Williams' Sisters, Sharapova etc. Henin had a great awareness on the court, her backhand was amazing (particularly the slice one) and she moved so well.

I always thought that she returned to win Wimbledon- the one GS lacking in her trophy cabinet.

I thought she'd at least have another stab at Wimbledon this year.

Shame, a big big loss to the women's game. But hey, maybe she'll come back out of retirement again!

Ha, yeah I'd like that. She was the best to watch IMO.

Indeed, she was great to watch! Definitely thought she'd stick around to win Wimbledon- that would have been epic!!
