I traded a 1.6 like the white one in your link in last week. It was a 2006. I would avoid the 1.6 at all costs, it's thirsty, not very powerful and the gearbox they use is weak.

Mine had its gearbox go at 78k km.

The diesel would be a better option but if you do a lot of miles, otherwise the 1.4 tsi is worth a look. Get a minimum of stylance spec or sport plus and avoid anything over 16 inch on the wheel size.

That's good advice from EPM, I have the 1.4tsi and it's a great car to run and not too expensive on petrol I get roughly 320km out of half a tank and costs roughly €40 to fill at half way

Like EPM (well done on the promotion to modding guru btw), I'd a Leon thats gearbox went to bits at 70k. Stayed driving it while waiting for a replacement. To be fair it stayed going, but on the day I was taking it to be repaired, it just crumbled altogether. Got it replaced, and clutch too for €650 all in. Happy enough. Mine is the 1.4 costa (new in 07)
