Ok so im 18 and have a physical disability in my arms. like any other teenage girl i love applying make-up but because my arms have little movement its quite difficult. i recently came up with a plan to make the make-up brushes longer or long handles that you can easily attach make products to like eyeliner, lipstick ect
do you think i should share my idea with someone or is it daft.?:D:)

I think you should go ahead with the idea but make sure you register the product(s) with the Patent Office beforehand.

When that's done you could send samples (if available) to cosmetic companies with a view to receiving royalties per item rather than have the problems of manufacturing the product(s) yourself. There are, at present, some types of Royalties tax free but I think the current Finance Bill might change that

Best of luck whatever you decide.

Definitely share it, do your market research to make sure the product doesn't already exist and then talk to your local enterprise board, if the concept is good look at the option of getting a worldwide patent and then licensing it out to specialist companies in this field who will distribute it for you.

I'm just starting out in this industry myself with a new business launching this week selling Mobility Aids and i can tell you that so many people in similar positions to you have requirements that are just waiting to be solved.

If you get your product to the manufacturing stage, I'd be happy to stock it. This kind of innovation Ireland needs at the moment and it's great that young people like yourself are using your unique insights and gifts to come up with commercially viable products. :)
