Is there any way to check how a TD voted on a particular piece of legislation?

    Thanks.

Yes if you fancy digging through the records but none of the politics sites publish results, its not worth the hassle for any of the political sites to do as the TDs vote on party lines normally.

You could check to see if they raised questions in the Dail on the paticular subject your interested in.

All votes are recorded Tá and Níl

But today i heard something odd.

One TD pressed the button Níl but then walked up the stairs into the Tá lobby

The dail pol-cor claimed he would be registered as voting No but the official vote was a Yes.

    i don't believe him.

    For example

You will note for example Labour oppose the law saying that a criminal gang can be three people FG support them FF oppose and vote them down. Ammendment 4 Ta 66 Nil 76

FF agree to change parts on Labour recommendation ( 5) and nobody votes against e.g. Ammendment 5 is withdrawn but FF put 5a and 5b instead.

FG vote with FF Tá= 118 and Lab + SF vote against the Bill Níl =26

People never get to hear this type of thing happens.

ALL votes are recorded! It is nonsense to assume otherwise. To which particular piece of legislation do you refer?

I thought Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Labour and the Greens were all supposed to be voting in favour of the Finance Bill, yet the margin is only 3 votes, 80 to 77. What's going on there? Did FG and Labour decide to vote against the Bill? They were saying earlier this week or last week that they would vote in favour of the Bill if they got a date for the General Election. What's happened?

No they didnt, labour have always been oppossed to the finance bill as it stood they sought to have it amended.

They postponed the motion of no confidence they had tabled to allow the Finance bill to go before the dail.

Once the bill was brought before the dail labour and fine gael and Sinn fein rejected it.

FF the greens and two independents healy rae and lowry vote for the passing of the bill.
