iPhone 4 calls. I can hear people but they can't hear me

As title says when I call someone or they call me I can hear them fine but they can't always hear me. Usually when the call first connects I can be heard but then after about 2 minutes person on other end can't hear me and when I try calling back they still can't hear me.

Anyone any idea what's wrong or do I need to send it back to apple...

Make sure your face is not hitting the hold button on the screen!

Try call someone turn on the loud speaker see does it work that way;)

Do applications like Skype and Voice Memo work okay?

If it is, then it's a problem with the noise cancelling hardware in the phone and needs to be sent off for repair. I'm currently waiting for my lovely empty box to be sent out to me so I can send mine back!

Skype works. Speakerphone on a normal call doesn't same problem. Brought phone into O2 shop that I purchased in and they said back it up and then do restore and see if that fixes it. Tried that still not working. So do I bring it back to O2 and let them send it off for repair or can I go through apple directly? Thanks

O2 are a joke, well O2 Dun Laoghaire are! They sent my iPhone 4 away to the O2 repair centre, and said if they find a problem they can repair or Apple will send out a new one. I'm looking at probably 2 weeks iPhone-less. So I asked would my bill be reduced because the crappy Nokia "music phone" I got as a replacement, has no access to emails or data, which I am paying for and not receiving through no fault of my own!

Has anybody else got experience in this or could offer me advice for them to give me a better phone or reduce my bill?
