Rent allowance not gone through account!

    Hi

    My rent allowance is due to go into my account today (last wed of the month) But it has not gone through? ANyone else having same problem or does it go through evening / night time?

    Hi I'm having the same problem, and cannot get through to the rent supplement office since thursday, phone either engaged or ringing out. So i'm going to see my local welfare officer on tues, see if he can shed any light as to whats going on!
    Tho i think its the last thurs of every month it goes thru

    same problem. Welfare Officer said that bank transfers have been changed til last monday of month

    Aw ok ...... just checked bank though and nothing there. Did you check your's yet? Its so frustrating that you can't get through to speak to anyone on the phone ...... easily knowing its not them waiting on money!

    How were you able to get your rent allowance put directly into your bank account? I live a few miles away from the post office and don't always have someone to drive me there! I never asked, but was told by someone else that they will not do bank transfers.

    Oh! the option was on the form that I filled in last year. I hadn't heard that you couldnt' but then I'm only on it a few months.

    I see, maybe I didn't look at the form closely enough when I filled it out, will have to ring CWO and ask, that would be a huge relief, not fun to walk 6 miles round trip in rain or when its really cold!

    Hi,

    I know 2 people that were cut off this week, as they had no supplied information to the welfare office that they had previously been asked to do so.

    So this could be your problem??

    Nope mine didnt go in either :mad:. Was only awarded it last month and didnt get any notification of any required documents... so dont think its that!!!

    I got a form sent out before christmas which i filled in and got Landlord to sign, sent it back in and rang to make sure they got it (which they did) God what a pain, ill try get onto them tmw, really wish they would contact you if they are stopping it, a little but of common curtosy wouldn go amiss, really fecked me up not having it :mad:
