Online v on-campus courses

I was wondering if I could get some people's feedback on their experiences on and off campus. I've got some big decisions to make and I'd like to know a few things:

    - do you feel the amount learned between online and on-campus was similar?

    - if you took online courses, do you feel as thought the "college experience' was compromised?

-I understand the taking online courses can typically leave you with some more spare time, but is it enough to hold down a full-time job on the side?

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: my sister sent me a website (http://www.onlinegraphicdesigndegree.com/) that she used in gauging her options in the states. Does anyone use anything similar?

I have studied a combination of ways and there are advantages to both. I would recommend doing core skills and qualifications fulltime (because you get the benefit of a bit more interactivity with lecturers) and then doing supplementary skills online/part-time while working. I struggled with motivation for the online exams because I was working full time at the same time. (My own nature is a big factor here.)

If you have the luxury of working part time vs full time while studying shorter online courses then that would be ideal.

You might find this search tool useful (you can compare delivery methods at a bunch of courses in Ireland and compare prices vs qualification):

    Good luck with your search!
