I'm finishing up my job and emigrating at the end of Feb.

Can I get back the tax I paid in January and February?

    Ya Id say so...

I just claimed by tax and income levy back for last year as I only started working mid year.

Just write a letter to revenue enclosing copy of your P60. I had included by bank details on revenue.ie and the money was lodged to my account literally about 2 weeks later, was really impressed at how quickly it was all organised!

Might as well claim it back if your are entitled, every little helps!

As far as I know you would have to wait until the end of the tax year to do so, but it may be different as you are emigrating, worth looking into. I would suggest calling revenue, they will be able to tell you for certain.

Best of luck with your move, get out of this sinking ship!!!

You don't have to wait until next year - once you get your p45 send in parts 2&3 to the Revenue, along with a form p50 www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/forms/p50.pdf
