    Hey guys,

I am new to this, but am wondering if anyone could help me. I have sent in my med1 form to the revenue, to claim back €360.00 for non routine dental expenses, i provided my bank a/c details, just wondering how long this would take to process, Its gone in with about 2 weeks, and when i log onto PAYE Anytime i can see the tax credit there with the figure 360 and claimed written above it but nothing in my bank a/c yet?. Also i sent in (via PAYE Anytime) a claime for rent tax credit and it says my "gross relife" is €2,000, In year 2010 I have paid €3,600 in rent, can anyone tell me what refund i would be entitled to if any? And how long this takes to process, this is also in with about 2 weeks? Although they only got my p60 last Friday, would this delay it? Thanks in advance for your help wink.gif

    Hiya,

I submitted health claims about two weeks ago and as I hadn't heard back I rang them on Monday, they said it should be processed and paid within the next 10-14 days.

Not sure how much you will get back but if you give them a call they should be able to tell you.

    Hey,

Yeah I rang them last Friday, but was unable to tell me what if anything i was entitled to as they had to look at my p60.. Im thinking that surly i will get something this week? Also supplied my bank a/c details, but do they refund into the a/c, or send out a cheque?

    Thanks for your help :D

I supplied my bank details when I set up PAYE Anytime and as far as I can remeber I had to select an option to have it paid directly to my account. I submitted claims before Christmas for 2007 and they paid it directly to my account within two weeks.

They are probably just busy at this time as most people would submit claims in Jan for the previous year.

As far as I know (don't quote me) for rent relief if you are single and under 55the max you can claim is 20% of your rent paid or €400, whichever is higher.

    Hope this helps

    I think that is wrong

I think the MAX you can claim back is 400 Euro per year (if you are paying rent over 2,000 Euro).

Otherwise people would be entitled to thousands back on rent relief.

400 is the MAX as far as I know.

Hey guys, thanks for your replys.. got my P21 anyway and all they processed at the moment was my medical one which came to 360 euro and they refunded me 250 of this... Now 1 more question, i got my P21 this morning say this is how much they will refund me, any idea how long it takes them to transfer to my bank a/c? Thanks again :)

If you provide your bank account details they post the cheque to your bank branch for lodgement, so the length of time it takes to hit your account it all depends on how long it takes Revenue to issue the cheque, then the postie to deliver it, then the bank clerk to lodge it to your account, then for the cheque to clear....anyones guess! It would make so much more sense if they just did bank transfers.
