    Hi,

Does anyone have an idea how much it costs to have a consultation with an accountant in respect of setting up a business. I'm looking to use a high end accountant so to speak.

I'm thinking of using Des Peelo & Partners. Has anyone any experience using this firm.

    Thanks!

Since moving out of Dublin some years ago I am a bit out of the loop but I know the firm you mention are well thought of in the profession. As regards cost, I would ask them before starting and they should be able to give you a rough idea.

Best of luck with your venture.

    Hi Lawstud,

I would advise going to a smaller accounting firm as you will generally get your consultation for free based on the fact that you will be using them for your business accounts and annual returns, when it comes to that your talking anywhere between 800-1500 for your basic returns and year end accounting and then for any extra work that may increase.

Lawstud if you are in Leinster click on my username and visit our website. We are a small/medium firm with plenty of big and small clients and over 20 years experience.

As said above for a start up a smaller firm would be better.
