Low Disk Space Warning (Internal Memory) HTC Desire

Ok all, have the Desire for about 8 months or so and have a 16Gb SD card installed. From looking through my installed apps most have already been moved to the SD card however I keep getting a disk space low warning (I know this is related to the phone's internal memory rather than the SD card). Anyone else experience this and has anyone any suggestions on how to free up memory? I've 6.5 GB free on the SD card and just 16MB free on internal memory.

One other problem that I have encountered, particularly when the phone gets hot (such as when watching a film or using Google Maps for navigation) is the phone shuts down and resets itself, anyone else experience this?? On this point, it went into a fit of shutting down and restarting after I installed beyondpod (a podcast player), no heat issues then and I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the low storage space warning?

    All advice/suggestions welcomed.

Phone shutting down is a known hardware problem, return for replacement. To fix the internal space problem you have to install custom rom, and reformat your sdcard to use a more advanced version of apps2sd. Desire HD and Desire Z come with a lot more internal space, so they don't have this problem.

    Thanks.

I'll get on the Meteor, presume they will want to take it back for repair:mad:

If anyone else has had dealings with them on this could you let me know how you got on?

Not too keen on putting on a custom Rom but...

    Thanks

If possible try to return your device, and get a Desire HD as replacement? Would solve both problems :)
