love for super mario bros 2?

hi very mixed views of this game it seems any lovers out there?

i think its a gem. well i think all mario games are a class apart;)

USA 2 was terrible.
Real 2 was good.

Its not a real mario game - it was a game called Doki Doki Panic, reworked to include Mario and co.

Its not in the same class as the original (or the Lost Levels), but it was still a fun game, and a decent enough challenge on later levels.

I've got to disagree, it was way way better than Lost Levels which is a masochisticly designed and just horrible to play.

I used to hate super mario 2 because I played the GBA version which is kind of crap. Played the NEs version recently and it's much better. It gets a bad rap but it's a damn good game.

Agree played this so long ago lol started playing last night and I'm thoroughly enjoying it

I don't particularly like it - I don't consider it to be a real Mario game. I've played it through to the end but don't really play it much.

I really like Mario 2 but the difficulty is nasty later on in the game. The heads that chase you around really grind my gears.
