Train from Bray to Rosslare Harbour - prices vary but check www.irishrail.ie for details for your particular time and date.

The train is the easiest, but for some stupid reason there is a train that gets in three hours too early, or thirty minutes too late. It is similar coming back as well. Rosslare harbour has a small coffee shop and that's it, so killing three hours is hard work.

During the ash cloud, I used bus eireann and it worked quite well. They leave bus aras and go down the rock road, before heading up to stillorgan. I got on at Loughlinstown opposite the hospital.
