LNB Freesat PVR

    Hi All,

I currently have 2 feeds from my Quad LNB.

One to Humax HD (Non PVR) in my den & one to a Sky box in lounge which I use as a FTA receiver.

I want to move the Humax to a bedroom and run new coax to it. I then want to run another new coax to my den for use with a Freesat PVR.

Does it matter which free input on the LNB I use for each run or will either be suitable?

My dish also appears to be rusting of late and the cables used for install aren't great (Zeus RG6: 75 ohm and VISION 100)

Doesn't matter which port you use, all are equal.

Dish doesn't look too bad, I've seen worse. If you've got the cash and time I'd upgrade the cable to CT100 compatible cable but the current RG6 will continue to do the job.

Thanks The Cush, current cabling hasn't been a problem although I know it wouldn't be ideal.

Given what a pain in the ass getting round my attic is, I may leave it in situ. Good to know dish is good for awhile yet.

Make sure you pull down the cover over the lnb connections in your first picture.

Dish is not too bad, but the cover on the LNB connectors is not pulled down, though! The F-connectors are exposed to the weather. You may need to clean up the threads on the remaining connectors and inspect the existing cables for corrosion. Use silicone grease on the connectors to inhibit corrosion and ensure the cover is pulled down.

Edit - scaller posted before me
