My wife is thinking of trading-in her x-type (2006) 2.2 diesel. 105000Km on the clock. Leather seats, etc. Any quick reliable way of calculating fair trade-in values?

There is no easy figure to give you here as it will vary from garage to garage and what you trade it in against.

Also, you are looking at the wrong figure. The only figure you should be interested in is the cost to trade up price. No point in getting a great trade in price on your old car if the car you are trading it in against is overpriced to begin with.

Book value for a 2.2 X-Type with 121,000km is €11,550 for a Classic and €12,850 for a Luxury (think it's the Luxury with the leather). Mileage adjustment would be just shy of €1,000 upwards as your's is lower mileage.

This is what the dealer should expect to sell the Jag for, so needs to build in a figure for cleaning, reconditioning, warranty and profit.
