You have been advised on the past that you are to use the events thread for posting un and coming events yet you still insist on creating numerous threads, count yourself lucky that your only getting a 14 day ban and not a permanent ban.

    Mod Note

Speaking as South East Category Moderator here, and having been involved in the discussions that gave rise to the Events Guide sticky, I would like to post a short explanation that might clear any confusion. Its not directed at anybody, or the OP, but a general explanation.

The events guide is there based on user Feedback and suggestion from the administrative team. It was to prevent people from posting constant events, which is a form of advertising. Advertising is not permitted on Boards.ie, as directed by the admins and site owner.

However, rather then blocking it altogether, we allow them to be put in an events thread which is a way of promoting the event while still getting the coverage in search engines and those interested to know whats happening will read the thread and not countless others spread out.

We still get people reporting posts that should be in the events guide. So its obvious not everybody wants them spread out around the forum, and they want them in the stickied events guide. Its the only way you will get free advertising and promotion of your event.

If anybody wants to advertise any event in a different more commercial way, they can contact sales@boards.ie. Until then, you will get your topics moved and if you keep ignoring the site rules and moderators, don't expect us to keep moving the threads. You will just be stopped posting.

    Thanks.
